Just a reminder: if your Adjusted Gross Income was $54,000 or less in 2007, you are eligible to file your federal income taxes online for free using the IRS’s freefile system. This especially makes sense if you take the standard deduction and only have income from one or two jobs and therefore don’t have anything complicated to deal with.
If you made over $54,000 last year, you can still file through the IRS but will be charged a preparation fee. Note: if you aren’t required to file a tax return this year but are doing so to get a stimulus payment, you cannot use freefile to do so at this time.

In addition, you can E-File for free no matter what your AGI is via TaxAct.
