Along the lines of the 11 Worst Cars To Own, here are the 10 Cars That Lose Value The Quickest according to Forbes.  Surprisingly enough, the two lists don’t seem to intersect all that much with the exception of the Suzuki Forenza and Mercury Grand Marquis.  While I am not a fan of buying new cars, I believe it CAN make sense for people who intend to drive the car until the wheels fall off.  Everybody else is probably better off buying used, even if it’s only a year or two old.   After 5 years, the average vehicle has lost about 65% of its value.  That’s a pretty steep premium just to drive something shiny.  The average vehicle on this list fares even worse:  they have lost 74% of their value after 5 years, on average.

  • Lincoln Town Car
  • Isuzu Ascender
  • Dodge Durango
  • Ford Econoline
  • Suzuki Reno
  • Chevrolet Uplander
  • Suzuki Forenza
  • Mercury Grand Marquis
  • Suzuki Aerio
