		<description>My daddy always told me to learn how to at least do the basics of something before hiring an expert so that you know what you&#039;re getting into. I&#039;d say with investing that&#039;s even more important because no one else is going to take care of your money like you do. Reading a book like The Big Gamble really helps too. The authors go into great detail about the differences between &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.financialspeculation.com/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;investing, speculating, and gambling&lt;/a&gt; with your money -- it was a real eye opener for me.</description>

		<description>Excellent post. I completely agree. Investment planners are over rated and are much more practical when you are older and have complex tax and estate planning needs. 

The best financial decide to make when you are young is to get out of debt.</description>
