Test Your Gold IQ
During a turbulent economy, it’s not uncommon to be told to buy gold, but how much do you really know about that shiny yellow metal everybody goes crazy over? Well, Kiplinger Personal Finance has created a little quiz entitled test your gold IQ (via Free Money Finance) to help you find out.
It’s not a very in-depth quiz, but taking it just might reveal how little you know about the subject. I personally scored 7/9 on the quiz but looking at the results, fully 63% of all participants scored below 50%. What I’m getting at here is that buying gold may or may not be a good idea, but you should never purchase any investment you don’t fully understand, not even if a so-called “expert” told you to. If Kiplinger’s poll is any indication, 63% of investors probably shouldn’t be buying gold now or ever.
