Special thanks to Sun at The Sun’s Financial Diary for including my post I Was Laid Off Yesterday in this week’s carnival of personal finance.  Here are a few of my favorite posts from this week’s carnival.

Money And Such says this may be a good time to quit your job.  Assuming you have enough resources to weather an extended downturn, I somewhat agree.  But I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anybody without a large emergency fund.

According to the guys at Everyday Finance, Washington is full of idiots.  Can’t say I disagree.

And while it wasn’t in the carnival this week, I wanted to mention SVB’s excellent post 10 Signs Of A Market Bottom.  I certainly think we’re getting close to the bottom, but I’ve been wrong before.
