My Favorite 2008 Black Friday Deals

It’s that time of year again:  Thanksgiving.  Not only does that mean turkey and cranberry sauce, but also the busiest shopping holiday of the year:  black friday.  There are always some killer deals to be had for those willing to brave the cold and long lines.  Here are a few of the most compelling deals I’ve heard about.

Samsung 50″ PN50A400 720p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV on sale for $797.99 (just in time for bowl games!) at Best Buy.

TomTom One 125 GPS System  on sale for $99.95 (I get lost a lot) at 6th Avenue Electronics.

Panasonic Viera TH42PX80U 42″ 720p Plasma HDTV on sale for $659.00  after a $70 coupon at 6th Avenue Electronics.

26″ Kulana Lua Tandem Bike (I’ve always wanted to ride one of these!) for $229.98 at Wal-Mart.

Steve Madden Men’s Eclypse Loafer (the ladies love them) on sale for $62.94 at Overstock.com.

PQI 8GB Secure Digital High Capacity Card on sale for $18.99 (this is a really good price) at Super Media Store.

But the best deals aren’t always at brick and mortar stores, even on black friday.  Online retailers have a huge advantage in overhead and can often sell for less than even the largest brick and mortar retailers can muster in the biggest of sales.  Check out Amazon’s Black Friday Deals or Overstock.com before you buy.  You just might be able to get it for less online and avoid the crowds to boot.
