Weekend Link Love
I forgot to participate in any carnivals this week (oops), so here’s a round-up of some interesting posts from around the blogosphere.
From time to time, I’ll probably post something on my Spanish blog that is somewhat on topic for this blog. This week, I wrote a post entitled Learn Spanish For Under $50. If you happen to be learning Spanish on a budget, check it out. I tried to distill it down to only the absolute bare essentials so that you could still learn the grammar, vocabulary, and conversational skills as inexpensively as possible.
The Finance Blog Network
Here are a few quality posts from The Finance Blog Network, which I belong to.
Curt from Penny Jobs thinks all debt is bad debt. I’m not sure I’m quite prepared to declare all debt to be bad, but we are certainly discovering that a lot of supposedly “good debt,” like mortgage debt, is coming back to haunt many people in this economy.
Andy from Saving To Invest warns of 5 clear signs your job is in danger and 5 things to do about it. From personal experience, this post is dead on.
Rich Credit Debt Loan tells us how to survive inflation. I like the telecommuting example.
Passive Family Income updates us on his peer to peer loan status. Borrowing at a low rate to invest for a higher return is risky but can pay huge dividends. I have actually seriously considered registering as a lender on Lending Club, another Peer-to-Peer lending website similar to Prosper.

You should definitely try investing at Lending Club. We would love to have you. You can start with as little as $25. If you have any questions about the lending process at all, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Or you might consider a Lending Club alternative. ZimpleMoney.com has a web product that enables people or organizations to make and manage direct p-2-p loans. ZimpleMoney is focused on ‘naturally” occurring networks like family, friends, churches, schools, organizations, non-profits, charities and foundations. ZimpleMoney sends bills, receives payments, post to loan ledgers, sends late notices, sends alerts as to the status of billing and collection process and provides tax records. We also provide a digital document management tool to upload files. Take a look at our site at http://www.ZimpleMoney.com Zimpley, Steve Rabago, ZEO ZimpleMoney
Looks to me like ZimpleMoney is just an aspiring way for borrowers and lenders to end up with more junk in their inboxes. I have done transactions through a few social lending sites and as far as auto-reminders etc. for their members, they all seem to have that functionality covered.
