Weekend Link Love And Social Media Extravaganza
Social Media
I’ve been on twitter for a month or so now and like it so far, but haven’t done much in the way of promoting it here. I usually make random observations about the economy, investing, sports, or just life in general. It’s a much more personal and informal way to get in touch with me.

I finally got around to creating a Facebook page for this blog. If you’re on Facebook and enjoy my posts, please help me out by becoming a fan on Facebook! There’s an RSS feed of my latest posts as well as a discussion board. I’m not sure how well the Facebook thing will work out for me, but I figured it was worth a try. Also, if you run a personal finance/investing blog and have a Facebook page for it, let me know in the comments and I’ll become a fan.

Stumble Upon
I don’t use Stumble Upon as much as I should, but feel free to add me as a friend. Especially if you’re a fellow blogger, adding me on Stumble Upon makes it more likely I’ll see/stumble some of your posts.

Don’t Forget To Subscribe!
One of the best ways to support any blogger you enjoy is to subscribe to their feed. You can either subscribe to my RSS feed in the traditional way or if you prefer, via email. If you choose to subscribe via email, allow me to assure you that your email address will absolutely not under any circumstances be used for any other purpose. Thanks!
The Finance Blog Network
Curt from Pennyjobs tells us why he thinks buy-and-hold is a thing of the past.
On a somewhat similar note, Andy from Saving To Invest tells us what he thinks are dollar cost averaging myths. I could go either way on this one. Of course, if I knew for a fact the market still had further to fall I’d sell everything and short it all the way down. Unfortunately, I’m not that smart.
Passive Family Income reminds us to redeem your gift cards. I often end up with $2 there, $3.50 there left unused on gift cards. The thing that annoys me is that most stores these days won’t just give you cash if you only have a few dollars left. Nope, you have to spend it ALL at the store.
Rich Credit Debt Loan gives us 5 ways to save money without even trying. Number 3 gets me every time: I always forget to send in the mail-in rebates.
