Twas another fabulous week in the pf blogosphere.  Here are a few I recommend.

Author Mike Piper has generously decided to offer his readers a free pdf download of his upcoming book “Investing Made Simple.”  I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but if it’s anything like his last book (Oblivious Investing) it should be great.  I’ll be traveling to Chicago on business this week so hopefully I’ll have plenty of reading time in the evenings.

I’m not a gold investor myself, but I personally favor gold ETFs because they’re just so darn easy.  If the world financial system collapses to the point of the dollar becoming worthless, I think we would revert to a barter economy in which gold would be almost as worthless as the dollar.  You can’t eat gold.

    Thanks for the mention! Glad the article seemed useful. I think gold ETFs are convenient in more ways than one, too. Convenience trumping the value of holding the physical gold itself. But I still think ideally it’s good to have the diversification, just in case.
