Cyber Monday Deals

Cyber Monday is perhaps 3 billion times better than Black Friday.  Why?  Because you can score some great deals at home without having to wake up at 5am to stand in line in the cold in able to save $10 on an ugly sweater your nephew won’t like anyway.  Cyber Monday is always the Monday following Thanksgiving (today!), and most online retailers have online-only deals at least as enticing as their Black Friday counterparts.  Since it’s obviously difficult to try on articles of clothing over the web, most Cyber Monday deals tend to be in the consumer electronics/appliances/durable goods categories.

I know, an online shopping extravaganza isn’t really all that frugal, but if I can get all my Christmas shopping done in less than an hour in one day, I’m all for it.  Bonus if I can get a decent deal in the process.  And yes, some of these links are affiliate links (the Amazon links) so I will receive a small commission if you purchase through them.

Amazon Electronics Deals

There are tons of sales in other categories, but I don’t particularly care about them so I didn’t mention any here.  Check out the Amazon.com Cyber Monday Deals page for the complete list.

Wal-Mart.com

Wal-Mart has a reputation for selling mostly cheap imported Chinese crap, but good deals can be had if you stick to the trusted name brands.  Here are some deals that caught my eye.

BestBuy.com

Best Buy is generally on the more expensive end of the spectrum, but they have some pretty good internet deals going on for Cyber Monday.

  • Samsung 50″ Plasma HDTV – $697.99.  This is a huge TV for the money.  The reason it’s so inexpensive is that it’s a 720p television rather than the more popular 1080p.  But to be honest, most people won’t even be able to tell the difference.  This is a great buy if you don’t care about having the latest and greatest.
  • Roland VIMA Full-Size Keyboard and Stand Package – $1799.  Okay, so I don’t know anything about electric pianos and I don’t know if this is a good deal or not, but I’d love to learn to play.
  • Keurig 1-Cup Coffeemaker – $129.99.  The most convenient way to make a decent cup of coffee in the morning.  The k-cups are pretty wasteful, though:  lots of packaging for 8oz of coffee.
