Monthly 2010 Goal Progress Update
Remember when I made a list of goals for the new year at the beginning of January? Well, I intend to keep them. And part of that is reporting my progress once a month to hold myself accountable. While I did make some personal financial goals, I’m not the type of blogger who gives out that kind of information, so I’ll stick to reporting on my business goals.
So here they are, in particular order:
Goals For Amateur Asset Allocator
Goal: Generate $5,000 in monthly revenue by the end of the year
After one month, I am on target to reach this goal assuming a reasonable monthly growth rate I think I can sustain. After a slow November and December, traffic has picked up considerably this month. In fact, it’s my second biggest month ever in terms of traffic. That said, it’s probably only my 3rd or 4th best month ever in terms of income. Still, my outlook is positive. There’s no room for setbacks, though, so that may be a bad sign.
Goals For Learn Spanish On Your Own
Goal: Generate $750 in monthly revenue by the end of the year
I still haven’t had much time to work on my Spanish blog this year. Still, traffic continues to grow at a modest pace, even without new content. If I can manage to put out only one or two posts per week, I think this number is obtainable. January was an above-average month, but nothing spectacular. I’m going to need to bump up my output to reach this goal. Consider this one behind schedule.
Early Retirement Blog Goals
Goal: Generate $1,000 in monthly revenue by the end of the year
Early Retirement Blog is my newest project. I just got around to putting adsense on the site a few days ago, so not really anything to report income-wise; however, a few of my posts have gained a bit of traction with a few bloggers linking to them. Nothing significant by this blog’s standards, but it’s made a major impact on ERB’s traffic. The blog has started getting search traffic as well, but it’s still at a pretty low level. If I can build the site up to average about 500 search visitors per day, I think I can easily reach my income goal. Put this one down as “too early to tell.” I’m optimistic, though.
How are you doing on your goals?
