About

Hi, I’m Kyle, a 20-something living in Atlanta, GA. For my day job, I work for a software company but ever since graduating college, investing, economics, and personal finance have been a huge hobby of mine. My goal is to reach financial independence by 40, which means by then my income from financial assets should exceed income from my job.

Amateur Asset Allocator is a blog about all things finance, investing, frugality, and the economy. My aim is to present personal finance, investing, and economic issues simply enough for beginners to easily understand but with enough substance so as not to bore veterans.

If you have any comments or suggestions (suggestions especially!) please email me at: kyle at amateurassetallocator dot com.

I also run a Spanish-learning blog, Learn Spanish On Your Own.

    Kyle,

You write about things Baby Boomers should know about too. So you might have an audience there too. As a Baby Boomer myself I have now read several of your Posts. They are well written and well researched.

    Hello,

This is Rose writing from http://www.huliq.com. I visited your blog and liked your content.

Would you be interested to send us a guest post on any of the issues related to the topics that you cover in your blog. We will publish it in our site http://www.huliq.com

In return with each guest blog we will give one link in the author’s biline back to your blog. We only ask that the guest post ( we prefer it be a news coverage, sources can be Google News, CNN, MSNBC, Yahoo News, BBC and others) be a unique story and not be published in your blog.

And that all need to be a unique content. Once you send us a new story totally unique we will immediately publish it with you link in it, and within 15 minutes it should be indexed by Google News.

    Hey Kyle,

My name is Kashem. I’m an editor at Xanga.com. We recently launched a financial site,dollarish.com , as part of our growing community of sites.

Currently we’re in the process of looking for feature writers. Your blog has content that is great for our readers. I was wondering if you would be interested in contributing or becoming a feature writer for our site.

For SEO traffic, we’ll link back to your site with a byline on every post and you won’t have to write any unique content for us, we can just use the content you write for your personal blog.

If you’re interested, I’d like to chat about it sometime. I can be reached at kashem@xanga.net or on AIM @ Miahsugarray

I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you very much.

    Dear Kyle,

I’ve been looking through the blogosphere and it seems that your blog is fairly well respected among the Personal Finance blog community. The Money Dashboard Blog (http://blog.moneydashboard.com) is designed with a similar purpose, to provide our readers with useful and helpful information.

I’d appreciate if you could have a quick look at our site and let me know what you think as I’d be interested in your opinion.

If you like the site I’d be grateful if you could mention it in your blog, as we will share a similar readership, or perhaps include it in your blogroll.

We could also provide you with an article for your blog, if you like, with an embedded link in it.

If you don’t want to link to us based on the content of our blog, please reply to me anyway, and we can organise a webring of reciprocal links with other similar sites.

    Many Thanks,

    Alan Gill
