Perils Of The Monopolistic Union

November 11th, 2008 · 4 Comments

Yesterday, I wrote about a pet peeve of mine:  when people are anti-corporate but pro-union at the same time, even though unions are corporations.  While traditional corporations and labor unions may be structured slightly differently on the surface, they have identical objectives and even go about achieving them the same way.  Today, I am going [...]

Unions Are Corporations, Too

November 10th, 2008 · 4 Comments

The rampant anti-corporatism in America today is somewhat infuriating to me.  The notion that corporations can only prosper by cheating the people is as old (and illogical) as government itself.  Successful businessmen will almost universally tell you integrity, honesty, and hard work are the keys to success.  He who cheats his customers rarely has any [...]

Get Rich By Writing About How To Write About Getting Rich

September 9th, 2008 · 8 Comments

Funnily enough (yes, it’s a word), one of the quickest and easiest ways to get rich is to write a book about how to get rich.  Some have accused Rich Dad Poor Dad author Robert Kiyosaki of doing just that, or at least of exaggerating the truth (you can read John T. Reed’s criticism of Kiyosaki here).  While [...]

Me, Me, Me Is Dull, Dull, Dull

September 3rd, 2008 · 3 Comments

The inspiration for this post was taken from Thomas Stanley’s book, The Millionaire Mind.  You can read my review of The Millionaire Mind here.
In chapter two, Stanley reveals the results of a survey prompting a representative sample of America’s millionaires to rate to what degree dozens of different factors contributed to their success.  These factors [...]
